It is just 3 mins drive to the High Street. We are also only about a 7 min drive down to East Cowes, where there is a Waitrose. So you will feel like you are in the middle of nowhere - in lovely rural peace and quiet - but you are really not far from civilisation at all! And it's a great starting point for visiting places all over the Island , where there is a huge variety of things to do for all ages and preferences!

Stylish three bedroom house on a beautiful tree-lined street in Southsea. Small private garden with a large comfortable outdoor sofa, decking and firepit.

The house has been tastefully decorated with a good mix of antique, designer and second hand furniture and decorations. There are lots of great period features throughout the property including high ceilings, original picture rails, coving, ceiling roses, stained glass windows, fireplaces and wooden floors. Please note that this is my home rather than a full-time holiday rental so if you are looking for an eclectic house with bags of character this is the place however if you are wanting something immaculate and uncluttered you may prefer somewhere else.

Rooms & Suites

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has large bay window looking out over the tree-lined street and a modern four-poster bed. The second bedroom is a bright and sunny room at the back of the house overlooking the garden. The third bedroom has a sofa bed which can be left as a sofa to use the room as a second 'den' with TV and DVD player or the bed can be made up as a small double. Also upstairs is the main bathroom which has a deep double-ended bath and overhead shower.

Downstairs there is an entrance hall off of which is the living room which boasts a large fireplace currently not working , comfortable seating, high ceilings with original coving and ceiling rose , wooden floors, stained glass windows and a large flatscreen HD television, DVD player, Netflix and TiVo box with Virgin cable subscription.

Off of the living room is the study where there is a large desk should you need to do any work during your holiday.

There are a LOT of books in the house which you're welcome to read during your stay and a good selection of board games and movies. The downstairs hall has a music area with a large collection of LPs and a stereo. There is a small downstairs WC and then at the end of the hall is everybody's favourite part of the house - the kitchen!

It's a large open plan kitchen with exposed brick walls and lots of great period features. It's fully equipped with gas hobs, electric oven, Dualit toaster, Bosch kettle, Smeg fridge, etc. The dining table even converts into a pool table! The kitchen opens out into the conservatory which is a great reading area with leather club sofa and view out to the garden. Hidden under the countertop in the conservatory is a washing machine, dish washer, microwave and a second freezer.

There is space down the side of the house at the back to safely store your bicycle if you have one. We have a couple of bikes which you are welcome to borrow if you let us know in advance. The house is located on a beautiful tree-lined street of gorgeous Victorian terraced houses. It is blocked off at one end meaning it's not used as a thoroughfare and therefore there is hardly any traffic.

It's conveniently located just a minute walk from the many shops, bars and restaurants on Albert Road, a minute walk to the seafront and has a Co-op, greengrocers, Spar, Lidl, Tesco Express all within 5 minutes walk. Fratton train station is only a 10 minute walk from the house and from there you can get direct trains to London in just 90 minutes. There is no permit parking on our road and there are always parking spots on the road outside the house.

I hope that's covered most things but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. Frensham Road is a beautiful tree-lined street in Southsea which due to it being closed to traffic at one end is very quiet and peaceful.

You can normally park on the road directly outside the house for free. Albert Road, where there are a large number of shops, cafes, pubs, bars and restaurants, is a pleasant minute walk or there are a number of pubs located closer. House Featured in Ideal Home Mag. Take in the expansive sea views and incredible sunsets from the living room windows and private deck which bring this contemporary space to life. Wood floors, greyscale walls, and furnishings that add a pop of colour create a homey atmosphere.

Sleeping is open plan on a comfortable, four poster bed with Egyptian Cotton linen and an en-suite shower room and WC with Bluetooth mirror with a speaker to play your favourite playlists. Towels and toiletries are provided along with those emergency items like a sewing kit or shaving kit. Stunning full-width bifold doors frame one end of the cabin with integrated, remote-controlled blinds so you don't even have to get out of bed to appreciate the view. Fall back in the cozy twin sofa with your feet up and catch up with the latest in style or travel with a selection of cool magazines.

Or maybe a game of cards with the Roberts DAB radio playing quietly in the background. For all yogis, why not leave your kit at home. We have a comprehensive selection of Manduka mats, blankets and props. This retreat is tucked away in Portsmouth harbour, a city rich in maritime history, surrounded by coastal wildlife yet close to trendy pubs and seafood bistros.

Visit the Spinnaker Tower and Portchester Castle and indulge in waterfront shopping. Salt Cabin by the Sea.

Remote cosy, self catering, stable conversion cottage surrounded by large garden, fields, woodland and plenty of wildlife. The small double bed room is suited to a couple. Kennels Cottage was once the workers cottage for the hunting dogs for a larger estate.

What's going on in Gosport

The stable conversion is attached to our main house. The property has an acre of garden, a large field in front with Firestone Copse beyond and another copse behind the house. The area is home to red squirrels, badgers, foxes and many species of bird. The main space is a combined kitchen living room, the bathroom has a shower cubicle and toilet and the cosy bedroom has a double bed.

All linen and towels provided. There is Smart TV in the living room with Netflix, iplayer, etc. In the kitchen area there is a fridge freezer, microwave, conventional oven and all kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery are provided. Wifi throughout. There are electric heaters, if you wish to use the woodburner logs can be purchased nearby or bring your own.

The space is suited to a single person or a couple. We have a friendly Lab who loves people and other dogs, well behaved dogs are welcome all year. Anything else you may need just let us know. A private road leads down to the cottage which is attached to our main house, in its own grounds. Secluded Country Stable Cottage. Driftwood is a luxury, converted boathouse with stunning views of the creek from every room.

It's in an area of outstanding natural beauty. You'll love the pool, kayaking up the creek, fishing from the pontoons, cosy log-burner and amazing sunsets.
